Plan beyondgraduation.
A degree, an admission offer and the right to practise are separate questions.
Start with the country where you intend to practise. Ask its regulator about your exact university, faculty, programme, entry year and circumstances. Requirements can change during a six-year course. This page is a question checklist, not a determination of individual eligibility.
Questions to resolve in writing
- Does this specific qualification meet the current requirements for my intended registration route?
- Which rules apply to my nationality, entry qualification and year of admission?
- What course length, teaching language, clinical training and internship conditions must be met?
- Are placements outside the awarding country accepted? What documentary evidence is needed?
- What examinations, language tests, supervised practice and local registration steps apply after graduation?
- What changes are planned, and where should I monitor official updates?
Start with the relevant authority
- India: National Medical Commission
- United Kingdom: General Medical Council
- United States: ECFMG, alongside the relevant state medical board
- Another destination: locate its official medical regulator before making a university commitment.
A directory listing, broad recognition statement or consultant recommendation is not proof of your eligibility. Retain dated responses and review them if your programme or intended practice country changes.
